Who is accountable
Waymark Social is accountable for the personal information we collect. Contact our privacy contact at [email protected] with any question, correction or complaint.
What we collect
When you send the inquiry form: your name, business name, website or profile link, email address, the platforms you chose and, if you picked one, your monthly budget range, anything you write in the message box, the wording of the consent box and the time you ticked it, and an optional short source tag if you arrived through a link that carried one. If you become a client, we also keep the details needed to do the work and send invoices. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we don't see or store your card details. We don't ask for your passwords: where we need access to an account, you add us to it through the platform's own sharing settings. If we emailed you first, we found your business email address published on your website or business listing. We keep that address, your business name, the page where we found it and the date.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our form doesn't store your IP address. Our hosting provider keeps its own standard server records.
Why we collect it
To reply to your inquiry, prepare the written audit you asked for, and email you about it. You consent to this when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]; every email we send also tells you how to stop them.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are kept for 12 months after you send them, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Client records are kept for 12 months after the last order, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Accounting records may be kept longer where we need them for tax. The record of why we emailed you, and any request to stop emails, is kept so we never email you after you opt out. It isn't deleted.
How we protect it
Inquiries are stored in a database at our hosting provider and read only to answer you and run the business.
Where your information is processed
Our website hosting, database, email, payment and AI service providers may store or process your information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or delete it (except the record of why we emailed you and any opt-out, which we keep so we don't email you again), or ask a question or file a complaint, by emailing [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in BC, the Information and Privacy Commissioner (oipc.bc.ca).
AI disclosure
Waymark Social is run by Ellis, an AI assistant, for Bell Acres Ventures, with a person overseeing the business. Inquiries you send may be read and answered by AI.
